Alec Baldwin's bad week just got worse.
After pissing off the entire LGBT community for calling a reporter a "c**ksucking f*g" while fending off the paparazzi Thursday, MSNBC -- the network behind his new talk show -- has decided to temporary remove Up Late With Alec Baldwin from its schedule amid the controversy.
Baldwin has since issued a statement about his suspension and apologized once again for using anti-gay slurs, writing on the network's official website:
I would like to address the comments I made this past week.In June, Baldwin also launched into Twitter rant against reporter George Starkafter he alleged the actor's wife, Hilaria Thomas, was tweeting during a funeral. The 30 Rock star retaliated with a expletives-ridden rant, calling the Daily Mailwriter a "toxic little queen.I did not intend to hurt or offend anyone with my choice of words, but clearly I have – and for that I am deeply sorry. Words are important. I understand that, and will choose mine with great care going forward. What I said and did this week, as I was trying to protect my family, was offensive and unacceptable. Behavior like this undermines hard-fought rights that I vigorously support. I understandUp Late will be taken off the schedule for tonight and next week.I want to apologize to my loyal fans and to my colleagues at msnbc – both for my actions and for distracting from their good work. Again, please accept my apology.
